1 – How do I know my Instructor account has been created?
To become an Instructor, all you need to do is to fill up the Instructor Registration Form online. Once completed the admin will verify your application before approval. Once approved, an official email will be sent to you.
2 – What is a ‘slug’?
Course Slug – URL slug plays an important role in search engine optimization (SEO). It’s Basically to use strategic keywords for your course/page so that Google indicators can use to determine what a page is about and easy for people to find your Page. Use hyphens to separate words. Example:-
Title # How to Cook Eggs in 8 different Styles.
Slug # cook-eggs-8-different-styles
3 – What is the maximum size course video that I can upload?
Your Course Video is using MP4 format and cannot exit 60MB per video (Keep each video to the max.10 mins – for easy students learning retention). You can, however, upload many videos but each video should not exceed 60MB.
4 – Does UIPM Academy need to verify my program contents?
No. However, If any course is found to be inappropriate, UIPM will ask for the course to be removed immediately. UIPM reserves the right to remove the course from the site and the Instructor will be informed and advised.
5 – Is there any restrictions to the programs that I can upload and teach?
Yes. To prevent any course from causing potential issues, we do not allow courses on the following topics:
1) Religion
2) Politics
3) Courses that promote Sexuality and Discriminatory, Violence, Illegal or Ethical Activities, Misinformation and Misleading, Sensitive, or Inappropriate topics/language.
If any course is found to be inappropriate, UIPM will ask for the course to be removed immediately. UIPM reserves the right to remove the course from the site and the Instructor will be informed and advised.
6 – What is the marketing help that the academy can offer in terms of outreach to the global public?
UIPM is in the stage of setting up a Marketing arm for the courses uploaded by the trainers. This will be made available to all Instructors by end of March 2023. Details will be advice by mid-March 2023. There will be terms and conditions for such service and more updates will be made available soon.
7 – I am not technical savvy. Can the academy offer technical support from someone to assist me or is there any fee for the engagement of an employee of the academy to assist me technically and administratively?
Yes, we are setting up support in this area and will advice by end March 2023. So the Instructor can only focus on the building the content for the courses, with some guidance. There will be charges for such service and we will advice accordingly.
8 – What Currency are the Courses prices at?
Currently all prices stated are in Singapore Dollars, but we will eventually change it to US Dollars. Any changes, will be updated here for all to be informed.
