About Course

Concept

Every public speaking involves a concept. It is not just a matter of knowing what/how to say. Concept is key as any delivery without theme loses the audience attention span. Concept is the planning that involves the use of text and style/action as one.

Content

Designing a speech or presentation is very much like developing a storyline. So it is important to identify impact points when developing content especially on the opening and closing. Thus, content designing enables the speaker to not only plan on the delivery of the key messages but to make the flow as engaging as possible. Sometimes a good content need to be aided by an accessory (for example; power point presentation) to strengthen curiosity, interest and recall.

Control

This component involves techniques in audience engagement and influence. Through the use of basic psychology and body language applications, certain delivery forms can affect the attention of the audience better and longer. This is crucial especially in any public speaking or presentations that last longer than the average attention span. Also as body language accounts for more than 75% of delivery, the combination use of non-verbal cues and intonation can hold audience interest level.
